Terms of Use

Updated: July 2026 · Rubber Wheels Oy (kumipyorat.fi)

1. Description of the Service

Rubber Wheels Oy (Business ID 3610628-8) is a P2P goods delivery platform that connects senders and drivers through a reverse auction mechanism. Rubber Wheels Oy operates as a technology service — it does not carry out deliveries itself but facilitates the agreement between the sender and the driver.

2. Registration

  • Users must be at least 18 years of age
  • Registration requires verification by phone number
  • Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and provide vehicle details
  • One user account per person

3. Sender’s Responsibilities

  • The sender is responsible for accurately declaring the size and weight of the goods
  • The sender is responsible for ensuring the goods are legal to transport
  • Incorrect information may result in a cancellation penalty (10–50 %)
  • The sender accepts the platform’s 15 % service fee on the delivery price

4. Driver’s Responsibilities

  • The driver is responsible for the careful handling of goods from pickup to delivery
  • The driver must hold valid motor insurance
  • The driver commits to the stated schedule and route
  • A third cancellation results in permanent account suspension

5. Cancellation Penalties (Sender)

TimingPenalty
More than 24 hours before10 %
2–24 hours before30 %
Less than 2 hours / at pickup50 %

6. Payment

Payment is charged from the sender upon acceptance of an offer and held in escrow (Stripe). Payment is released to the driver only after confirmed delivery. Rubber Wheels Oy retains a 15 % service fee.

7. Limitation of Liability

Rubber Wheels Oy is not liable for delayed deliveries, or for lost or damaged goods. Goods insurance is the user’s own responsibility — the platform does not sell insurance. The platform’s liability is always limited to the value of the individual delivery.

8. Driver’s Tax Obligations

  • Income tax: The driver is obligated to declare all income earned through Rubber Wheels Oy in their tax return. There is no lower limit — all earned income is taxable.
  • Value added tax: If the driver operates through a light entrepreneur service (e.g. UKKO.fi), VAT is handled by the invoicing service. If the driver has a registered business, VAT liability begins when turnover exceeds EUR 20,000 per calendar year.
  • Driver status: Rubber Wheels Oy is not the driver’s employer. The driver operates as an independent entrepreneur or light entrepreneur.
  • Rubber Wheels Oy does not provide tax advice. We recommend clarifying your individual situation through vero.fi or with an accountant.

9. Data Collection (DAC7)

The EU DAC7 Directive requires digital platforms to collect driver personal data and report it annually to the Finnish Tax Administration (Verohallinto). Rubber Wheels Oy collects from drivers their name, address, personal identity code, date of birth, and business ID where applicable. This data is used solely for statutory reporting and is not disclosed to third parties.

10. Governing Law

Governing law: Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved primarily by negotiation. Finnish Consumer Disputes Board: kuluttajariita.fi

Content moderation and consequences

In line with the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), we apply the following moderation practices:

  • Notice mechanism: you can report a shipment or another user via the in-app Report function. You receive immediate confirmation and an email containing the case identifier.
  • Handling time: we resolve notices within 14 days. Severe cases are addressed immediately.
  • Consequences: depending on the severity of the breach, we may issue a warning, apply a temporary restriction or a permanent ban.
  • Statement of reasons: you receive an email containing the reasoning, the applied terms section, the case identifier and the available appeal channels.
  • Role of algorithms: we use rule-based reliability scoring as input. The final decision is always made by a human — we do not automatically suspend accounts on algorithmic grounds.
  • Appeals: you may appeal within six months by emailing hei@kumipyorat.fi. External channel: /consumer-disputes-en/.

Consumer right of withdrawal

Pursuant to Article 9 of the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, consumer customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal starting from registration.

When you place a shipment order and request the service to start within the 14-day withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal lapses for that order under Article 16(a) of the Directive. By accepting the shipment, you confirm that you understand this.

You can delete your account at any time via the Delete account function in the app’s Profile screen. Cancellation of individual shipment orders is governed by the order-specific cancellation terms.

We always seek to resolve disagreements directly with you first: hei@kumipyorat.fi.
